Mastic is a resin harvested from shrub-like trees on the island of Chios, Greece. Mastic was traditionally chewed for its breath freshening properties and is used in baking and beverages. The taste is best described as a cross between rosemary, lemon, and pine, but it's complex flavor is something truly unique and special! We use directly sourced Chios mastic in this balm.
Tubes are 0.4 oz (twice the volume of a standard lip balm tube), so they last longer and are nice to hold.
Tube and label are both 100% compostable.
